For the WKO, the Austrian Economic Chambers, we designed these awards, that are given to the best exporting companies every year.
We decided to experiment with one of our business partners to create a unique material: The concrete you see is made with the use of residual waste slag, therefore minimizing the use of sand – an increasingly rare ressource.
The design has a powerful, monolithic character to emphasize the importance of exporters to the Austrian economy and deliberately contrasts the roughness of concrete with the nobility of the precious metal veins.
The technology we are promoting turns the award into a strong statement for greater integration of recycling and sustainable solutions.
